Top 5 – Mexican Football Teams

Mexico was not very successful at the national level since it only managed to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup twice (both at the World Cup in Mexico). But the Mexican football team has gradually become stronger and is now counting on American land and international clubs.

I designed the top five of Mexico's soccer teams, but I decided not to rank them because it could cause annoyance to fans, for example, fans wonder why their team has been on the leaderboard since they won more championships. I'm here to think that the most important football teams in Mexico, ranked only by the alphabet :).

Club America was founded in 1916, one of Mexico's oldest professional clubs, although the first championship title could not be won from 1956 to 1966. There are currently 10 national champions who are only runner-up to Chivas de Guadalajara who have won 11 titles in their history. The two matches are the most successful football team in the game with a silvery perspective and Chivas is America's historic birdlife, so the match between the two is a derby that the whole country is waiting for.

Club America offered to disclose and highlight the players of Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Enrique Borja, Carlos Hermosillo, Pavel Pardo, Zizinho, Claudio Lopez, Ivan Zamorano or Ilie Dumitrescu.

Mexican football team – Chivas de Guadalajara

The club's official club name is Club Deportivo Guadalajara, but every Mexican fan knows them Chivas (goats). Based on their 11 league titles, Chivas is the most successful Mexican football team. They too like their Mexican politics because they never use foreigners and focus on local Mexican players only.

Popularity goes far beyond the borders of Mexico and the United States, where a Chivas USA team was established. Mexican Chivas have players such as Salvador Reyes, Omar Bravo, Claudio Suarez, Juan Palencia, Gonzalo Pineda, Luis Garcia or Carlos Hermosillo.

Mexican Football Team – Pachuca

Although the oldest Mexican football legend was founded in 1901, Pachuca has become truly competitive only in recent decades. The Primera Division has won five times in the past eight years and the CONCACAF Champions Cup twice, in 2002 and 2007, Pachuca was among the Mexican football teams.

The most important players to play for Pachuca: Jared Borgetti, Jaime Correa, Fausto Pinto, Damian Alvarez, Mosquera, Ivan Hurtado and Juan Arango.

The Mexican Football Association – Pumas

As the team is closely associated with UNAM, Mexico's largest university, the club is known as UNAM Pumas, although its official name is Club Universidad Nacional AC. Although Pumas does not have a history like the other Mexican Summits Clubs founded in 1954, they definitely count the number of years, 5 championship titles, 3 CONCACAF cups, 1 Interamerican cup and several smaller silver.

The most important players in the club's 50-year-old Pumas logo are Enrique Borja, Hugo Sanchez, Jorge Campos, Alberto Aspe, Luis Garcia, Esteban Solari, Emerson, Ailton da Silva or Dario Veron.

Mexico Football Teams – Toluca

Toluca has been among the Mexican football teams since the 1960s, having won 8 league titles ever since. Since they were found in Toluca in 1917, they are known as an attacking team who throws their dice on the attackers, slightly neglecting the defense part of the game. This philosophy was a two-pronged sword, as Toluca changed between the lost places and the titles in the 60s and 70s.

Obviously, this attack mentality is far less noticeable today and the Toluca game has become more tactical. Some of Toluca's red and white T-shirts include: Enrique Alfaro, Zinha, Pedro Romero, Enzo Trossero, Dario Rodriguez, Jose Cardozo, Fabian Estay, Darko Vukic and Juan Antonio Pizzi.
