Chelsea Football Club – The History of Blues

Stamford Bridge

Most football teams have an emotional relationship with their home base, but some teams and stadiums are as narrow as Chelsea FC and Stamford Bridge in London. Stamford Bridge, built in 1877, was a sport track until 1905 when two brothers (HA and JT Mears) purchased the goal of attracting an existing team there. When this plan failed, they decided that bull was created with horns and formed a team – Chelsea FC.

And so began the 100-year-old football history, many up and down the road. The Chelsea Football Club was formally formed on March 14, 1905 at The Rising Sun in a public house opposite the main entrance to the current stadium. A few weeks later, the team joined the upcoming Soccer League second class and on May 29, 1905 played the first game against Stockport County.

It was followed by a long, disordered period and only until 1955 Chelsea won the first league title. Initially, the nearby Royal Hospital (the retired retirees home) was named "The Pensioners," an early manager thought he had a bad impression – and since then, Chelsea is known as The Blues.

In the sixties Chelsea London became a fashionable heart but the success of the surrounding areas was not copied to Stamford Bridge. The team became known about the track due to their fashionable clothes, accessories and celebrities' lifestyle, and the club had a certain celebrity in the media at this time. The trophy cabinet, however, remained largely vacant and although Chelsea approached the 1967 FA Cup final loss, the only great success of the decade won the first League Cup in 1965. Cases did not improve in the 1970s and 80s, the team entered and exited the second class and faced serious financial difficulties.
At the club's lowest financial point, the Mears family was forced to sell the club to Ken Bates's new owner for a $ 2 USD price (yes two dollars!). Chelsea's passionate fans, however, remained loyal, and this member of the
confused era ranked England the best. Among the players of the year are the famous goalkeeper Peter Bonetti, who played in the 1959 and 1979 with 729 times in the team and Peter Osgood striker who scored 150 goals from 196 to 1979.

Although Jimmy Greaves was better known for his later Tottenham Hotspur career, he started playing football in Chelsea, but he was in the debut game (a game he had ever played before). In 1960, 20 years of age, Greaves
became the youngest player to score 100 English league titles and 1960-61's 41 league targets to date record in Chelsea. In the 1990s, Chelsea slowly but surely found themselves one of the strongest in English and European football when Ken Bates funded the purchase of several world-class players.
including Dutch superstar Ruud Gullit (from Sampdoria) and scorer Supremo Mark Hughes (Manchester United). Gullit in his first season as a player manager, Chelsea won his first trophy for 26 years when he beat Middlesborough in 1997 to win the FA Cup.

Gullit's 1998 move to take on another player manager, Italian striker Gianluca Vialli and team development continued to be successful in a FA Cup victory in 2000, followed by Vialli's redundancy . Consequently, his successor, Claudio Ranieri, was the leader of a team that many commentators felt as if they were of good quality and depth, but they did so when the turning point was the luck of Chelsea.

Chelsea's new dawn broke out when the Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, bought the club in 2003. He immediately opened a large number of control books for the club's management who spent over $ 150 million in the injection of new talents, including Claude Makélélé, Glen Johnson, Joe Cole and Damien Duff.

Unfortunately, the investment did not bring a trophy, and José Mourinho's new leader was made in Portugal for the 2004 season. Mourinho made an immediate impression not only on Chelsea's team, but generally on English football, and his leadership and ambition combined with Ambramovich's luck transforming Chelsea's fortunes.

Chelsea FC Megastore now online soccer clothing, leisure clothing, gift items, books and videos related to Chelsea media around the world. The multilingual customer hotline is just one indication that Chelsea
    is a "brand" international success.

The club sponsorship agreement with Samsung is even bigger than the Manchester United Vodaphone business, which provides the club with additional income that is generously funded by its owner and benefactor. Indeed, some commentators are concerned that despite the fact that the Chelsea team is too dominant, despite the fact that the team is too well funded. But many years ago, it is certain that today's Chelsea fans are happy to receive "The Blues".
